 Swap Area Registration and Rules     

2005 Greater St. Louis Association of Earth Science Clubs Show

Greensfelder Recreation Complex - Queeny Park, 550 Weidman Rd., St. Louis County, MO

Fri., Aug. 19th (10am-8pm); Sat., Aug., 20th (10am-6pm); Sun., Aug. 21th (11am-5pm, swap area closes at 4:00pm)

Admittance Fee: To enter the show, each person must pay the admission fee each day. Swappers that pre-register will be given a $1 discount from the above admission fees per day

Table Fees: In addition to the Admittance Fee, swappers will pay for tables at the following rates: Friday only - $10 per 8 foot table, Saturday only - $10 per 8 foot table, Sunday only - $5 per 8 foot table, All 3 Days - $20 per 8 foot table

All tables will be provided. Tables are available on a "first come" basis. Partial tables are not available.

Transactions in the Swap Area: Swappers must not accept cash for items sold. Buyers can purchase swap dollars to pay for items offered by swappers. Any swapper that accepts cash for materials offered in the swap area will be expelled from the show without reimbursement of fees and will be barred from participation in future GSLAESC shows.

No grab bags are permitted in the swap area.

No Dealers: Dealers or dealers agents will not be permitted to set up in the swap area. Violators will be expelled from the show without reimbursement of fees and will be barred from participation in future GSLAESC shows.

Redemption of Swap Dollars: Swappers can purchase items from show dealers using swap dollars as if they were cash. One swap dollar is worth one dollar of US currency. In addition, a limited number of swap dollars can be redeemed for cash as described below.

Cash Redemption for Swap Dollars: To help in defraying expenses, swappers can turn in swap dollars for up to $25 cash per swap contract per day. A person can have only one swap contract. The maximum would be $75 for the weekend. Cash can only be obtained once a day or at the end of the show from the Swap Cashier. Be sure to spend all swap dollars beyond the cash redemption limits before the end of the show.

Swap Currency Denominations: Swap currency is available in denominations ranging from $.25 to $20. Each denomination is color-coded. All swap currency has an identifying stamp.

Lighting: One lamp (maximum of 100 watts) will be permitted per swap table rented.

Registration: Pre-registration is not required but strongly recommended. All table space will allocated based upon the order of paid registration until there is no space left. No extra tables will be set up.
